Could I Be Any Cuter?

Miss Carlee the answer is definitely NO!! I just love this girl!

It is never too early to start practicing...Get Your Guns Up!!!

We went over to Chelsey and Gregg's house to watch Tech upset the (then #15) Nebraska Cornhuskers and Carlee was just full of smiles for Aunt Chelsey!

We started our morning over at Matt and Sarah's house to watch the UT/OU game. Carlee and Madeline had their 2nd playdate. They were both on their best behavior even with all the yelling at the TV. Luckily, everyone was happy with the outcome!

The mommy's had to take the pictures so Rebecca and Andrea got to hold the little munchkins! Carlee is looking at Madeline's shirt and thinking, "I'm not sure about burnt orange, but we can still be friends." =)

Thank you Madeline for letting me borrow some of the clothes that you have outgrown!!!

Carlee Marie is Baptized

Proud Cici
Proud Meme
Carlee is wearing the same Christening gown that I wore when I was baptized 27 years ago.

This handmade crocheted bonnet was worn by my grandmother in 1919 during her baptism.

  • Craig and I have been a member of White's Chapel UMC in Southlake for 2.5 years now. We have fallen in love with the people and made it our church home. We wanted to baptize Carlee in the church that she will be raised in and surrounded by steadfast love. We were blessed to have over 20 of our family and friends there to witness this special moment.

  • During the Profession of Faith, Craig and I accepted as our bounded duty and privilege to live before Carlee a life that becomes the gospel; to exercise all godly care that she be brought up in the Christian faith; that she be taught the Holy Scriptures and that she learn to give reverent attendance upon the private and public worship of God. We will endeavor to keep her under the ministry and guidance of the Church until she by the power of God shall accept for herself the gift of salvation and be confirmed as a full and responsible member of Christ's Holy Church.

  • After the service, we celebrated at our house with great food and fellowship. Dad and Craig smoked a fabulous brisket the day before. Also served with sausage and pinto beans. Becky made her wonderful potato salad and Mom made her famous Blackberry cobbler. The meal was definitely a success, but the best part of all was the company and we missed those that could not be here to celebrate with us. Carlee is one lucky little lady to have so many people loving and praying for her on a daily basis. She is truly a gift from God!

  • Later this evening, Craig got a call from Carole (his sister) and said that her 3 year old son Cayden (pictured above) was sobbing and asked her, "why are Craig and Susan giving Carlee away to Jesus." Carole told him what it meant and reminded Cayden that they also gave him away to Jesus. Still not quite understanding the true meaning Cayden said, "I don't want to live with Jesus." Too cute!!!

Tech Gameday!!!

I didn't want Craig to feel left out, so before Carlee got all decked out in Tech gear, I put her in her Baylor Cheerleading outfit. Sic'em Bears!!!

She loves her Daddy!!!

Chelsi and her 9 months old daughter Brierley came over to visit. Brierley is absolutely adorable! It was fun to watch her move all around the house. It especially gave me a good idea of what still needs to be child proofed. She wanted Carlee to play with her...maybe in a few more months.

Chelsey made this fabulous tutu for Miss Carlee and the Wreck Em onesie!

Thanks Aunt Chelsey!!!!!

A Perfect Sunday!

A perfect sunday includes going to church and sunday school, eating BBQ with good friends and then watching the Cowboys win! We put Carlee in the bumbo for the first time this weekend and she loved it. It is never to early to teach her about football, especially Texas Football. We had to practice and get her ready for the big College Game Day event this weekend - Tech vs UT! Wreck 'Em Tech!
Happy 3 months to Carlee (yesterday)!!!! There was a new little 6 week old baby in daycare this morning and she looked so tiny compared to Carlee. I can't believe how much they change in such a short period of time. My little 5 pounder now weighs almost 10 lbs. She is full of smiles and coos and is starting to roll over onto her side. She hasn't quite made it to her stomach yet, but it is coming real soon. I can't wait for what is to come, but it seems to go by too fast. I got a little teary eyed this morning when I heard the Trace Atkins song, "You're Gonna Miss This," because I already miss my little preemie who is quickly turning into a little lady!

AMAZING Photos and Back to Work!

We had professional pictures made of Carlee on Monday and I've only seen a few, but they are fabulous! I could not be more pleased. I don't know how we are going to choose! Christi is AMAZING!!!!! I definitely recommend using her. Below is Christi's blog and webpage. You can see more of Carlee's pictures on the blog link below.

This is my first week back to work and man, I'm exhausted!! Being out of the office for 5 months really slows down the brain. I used to be great at multi-tasking and now I can only concentrate on one thing at a time, which doesn't really work well for my job. I need to be able to juggle! It will all come back to me soon.

Tuesday was Carlee's first day at Cambridge Christian Academy and she did great. I didn't hang around too long because if I saw her cry I would have started crying, so I quickly left. When I came to pick her up she was sitting in a little swing very content just looking around the room and then when she saw me she got this huge smile on her face. It just made my heart melt!!! So far I haven't had a meltdown yet. Of course, I miss being with her all day, but it is refreshing to have adult conversations.

Pics by Kelly

One of my very best friends, Kelly, took these fabulous pictures. She has always had a passion (and good eye) for photography, but recently she started taking a class and bought a new fancy lense. Taking pictures of an 11 week old is great practice! I also love the last picture where Maddy (my dog) is looking through the window - she didn't want to be left out! Great job Kelly!
