Happy 5 month Birthday Carlee!!!!

Life doesn't get much better than this!!!!

Carlee loves rolling over! It is her way of getting around. She goes so fast it is almost like she is rolling down a hill.

Carlee loves putting her feet in the air!
I can't believe that she is already 5 months old. Time has flown by and it makes me sad that I can barely remember the day she was born (thank goodness for pictures)! Carlee is definitely starting to develop a personality and she "talks" ALL the time!!! Her smiles melt your heart and her laugh is priceless. Her innocence, beauty and care free spirit is a constant reminder of how lucky Craig and I are to have her in our life. God has truly blessed our family!!

Sitting Up!

Carlee is able to sit up for a few seconds by herself (long enough for me to get a picture at least).

Leaning Tower of Carlee!

Carlee in the buggy ride at daycare. When I walked in the door Miss Janelle (one of Carlee's teachers) was pushing the buggy right in front where you check in and I saw this bald head from the back and sure enough it was Carlee! What a big girl! So of course I had to run out to my car to grab the camera and take a few pictures!!!

Miss Janelle was trying to make Carlee smile for the camera, but of course she didn't smile until I got her out and was holding her. Not spoiled at all.

Carlee's 1st Cereal Experience

Carlee's 1st bite of rice cereal!

This is pretty good...

...But is it better than my hand?

I think I still like my hand better.

So good!

All done and very messy!

Carlee's 1st Halloween!

Cici and her precious pink bunny!

I love my musical duck...
...But now I am going to eat him!!!
Carlee had her 4 month appointment on Friday and shots (boooo, but she was a trooper). She weighs 11lbs 5 oz (25th percentile adjusted for being 5 weeks early or 11th percentile unadjusted) and is 24 inches long (50th percentile). Her head circumference was in the 2nd percentile. I had to laugh because at 4.5 months she finally surpasses her Uncle John's birth weight of 11lbs 2oz and I'm pretty sure that 10 of those pounds were in his head (hence his geniusness). The pediatrican said that we could start giving her rice cereal once a day. We are going to try it tomorrow (Craig has class tonight and I want him there to take "1st solid food pictures" so be on the look out for those coming soon).
New Developments: Carlee started picking up toys this past week and you could just see her little brain working 100 mph. She also laughed for the 1st time on Saturday - it was the cutest little chuckle I have ever heard. She brings more joy to my life each and every day!
Small world story: Carlee and I went to College Station this weekend to visit the family. Saturday Mom and I took Carlee to the Pumpkin Patch and when we got there a car pulled up right next to us and of all people it was Carol, one of my antipartum nurses at Medical City!!! Her son and daughter in-law live in College Station (both Aggies) and had a little girl 4 days after Carlee. She was born the day Carlee and I were discharged so I never got to see pictures, but it was even more fun to see her in person. After spending 8 weeks in the hospital you really get to know the staff and Carol had shown me her son's wedding album and her needlepoint projects and we just became part of each others family so it was great to see her again.

Carlee pics!

I can put my whole fist in my mouth...and it tastes so good!

All bundled up for our daily walk!
