Baby Girl Cheyne has a name!

Craig and I have officially decided on the name of our little baby girl...Carlee Marie Cheyne! Lee is a family name on the Cheyne side. It is both Carole (my sister-in-law) and Becky's (my mother-in-law) middle name. The Lee name goes down through many Cheyne generations and dates back to General Robert E. Lee, not a Cheyne granddad, but the cousin of a granddad. And Marie is a family name on the Miller side. It is my mom and grandmother's middle name. I can't wait to meet Miss Carlee. I know she is going to be absolutely beautiful!

Fabric for Nursery

The floral fabric will be the outside of the bumper, the curtains and will also be used on the blanket. The green behind it will be the cording for the bumper and the polka dots will be the ruffle on the bumper and blanket. It will also be the ties on the crib. The 2 fabric at the top will be for the sheets. We will also use the sage green minky dot (really soft fabric) for the inside of the bumper and the blanket.

It's a Girl!!!!

What a fun surprise!!! I wish we had been recording our (me, Craig and my mom) facial expressions when the sono nurse confirmed that Baby Cheyne was actually a girl. So much for trying to be overly organized and picking out boy fabric, God had a different plan which now includes bows, ruffles and lots of frills. We could not be more excited! I'm getting my little girl! Baby Girl looks really healthy and measured at 1 pound 1 oz. Our appointment was first thing in the morning and I had great intentions of making it into work this afternoon, but mom and I had some fabric shopping to do. After 5 stores, mom and I finally found the perfect fabric for BCG's nursery. Many thanks to our dear family friends Jackie, Jennifer and her 5 week old baby, Lauren, who helped us bring all the fabrics together to create the perfect nursery ensemble!

20 week appointment

I had my 20 week appointment today. The heartbeat sounded really strong and I measured at 20 weeks, so everything is going the way it should. I've come down with a little cold. BC is just using up all my immune system. This is the 3rd time I've been sick since the New Year, but as long as that little baby stays healthy, I'll tough it out.

The count down has started until my 22 week appointment (13 more days!!!) until we find out the sex! We will also be able to see the baby's brain, heart valve and the sono nurse will be able to measure the bones and make sure everything is growing properly. It should be an interesting and reassuring appointment. Mom and Craig will both be there for all the excitment!
