Carlee pics! (of course)

While Daddy was reading the newspaper Carlee was eating it (I know it's not real interesting)...who needs to read the Work and Money section anyways ~ definitely not bankers and accountants :)

Carlee's first balloon...she loved it!
Carlee's bottom tooth that has really popped out and you can see the white tip of the other bottom tooth. It looks like you can see both of them in this picture, but I think that is a reflection.

Carlee is trying so hard to pull herself up ~ hence the bruise on her forehead and cheekbone.

More pictures!

Cici came to visit this weekend! Carlee even got to play hookie from daycare on Friday and hang out with Cici all day long. So fun!!!

"I prefer eating my socks rather than wearing them!"

8.5 month pictures!

I still love my Mardi Gras beads!!!

Getting a kiss from Dolly (cousin Cayden named her - the creative mind of a 3 year old). She got this doll at Christmas and it is the same size as Carlee and she just thinks it is so funny, especially when you make her dance and do flips.

After 8 months, NOW the dogs are paying attention to Carlee, go figure she is sharing her food.

I just love this picture. They sat like that for 10 minutes or so. Thankfully, Molly is very patient with Carlee and lets her grab her legs, tail and ears. Maddy on the other hand is not so patient. I'm trying to teach "gentle" to Carlee when petting the dogs, but she hasn't quite learned that concept yet, so until she does the dogs need to learn to stay away. Carlee LOVES the dogs and just thinks they are so funny.

Lunch time!!!

Carlee is blowing a snot bubble with her nose. It was hilarious, but I had a hard time getting a really good picture of the bubble.

More Accomplishments and Lauren's 1st birthday!

What a big girl!!!! Carlee is standing all by herself!

Dad was in town for a conference in Grapevine and of course had to come see Carlee. He even got to see her go from crawling to the sitting up position for the very first time.

When Dr. Jeff Savell (aka Papa J) speaks even Carlee knows to listen. Jeff is a professor of meat science at Texas A&M and the Savell's are dear family friends. Needless to say, we always enjoy going over to their house for dinner! Carlee attended her first birthday party last weekend in honor of Miss Lauren's 1st birthday (Mama J and Papa J's granddaughter)!!! Carlee has received a lot of handy-me-downs from Lauren, which we appreciate so very much!!!! We had such a great time and it was fun watching the girls play - they are growing up too fast!!!

Carlee eating a fake hamburger patty, while the rest of us ate the real thing (showing off her love of Beef for Dr. Savell). So yummy! Although she hasn't had her first taste of real protein yet...soon, real soon!

Gig'em!?!?!

Carlee finally got an Aggie outfit for Christmas from Uncle John! She clearly loves it!
Carlee and I went to College Station last weekend for the A&M/Tech basketball game. We had a great weekend and got to see lots of friends and of course, Cici, Papa and Uncle John.

Mother/Daughter matching Uggs! Mom felt bad that Carlee had real Uggs and I just had Fuggs (fake uggs), so she graciously bought me a pair! Now we are both stylin' ~ Thanks Mom!!!!

Cici, Papa and Carlee

Carlee and Charlotte had a fun playdate! Randi (bride-to-be...only 33 more days!!!!) of course joined in on the fun.
Carlee decided to start crawling last week. She has been trying for a while, but she finally got the hands and knees coordination down. She is getting faster and faster daily and is already attempting to get into the cabinets of our kitchen and the dresser drawers. Yesterday, she went from crawling to the sitting up position! Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the very first time she did this, but I put her in her crib to take a nap, which she adamantly protested, and when I went to check on her she was sitting up in her crib ~ I was very surprised as I clearly remember laying her down. She showed off her new trick several times last night. What a big girl!!!!
