Fabric for Nursery (if boy)

Mom and I got the fabric picked out if it is in fact a boy. We only focused on bedding for a boy, so we will be back to square one if it ends up being a girl.

It is hard to tell the true colors in these pictures, but the primary colors are lime green and brown.

This fabric above will be for the bedskirt and curtain panels.

This fabric will be the outside of the bumpers and blanket. The inside of the bumpers and blanket will be the brown minky dot (really soft) material.

The solid dark brown fabric on the far left is microfiber ultra suede and it will be for the patch in the middle of the blanket with his name embroidered in lime green in the middle. The cording for the bumper is in the middle of the suede fabric.

Nursery in Progress

We finally got the crib put together. I love it and can't wait to see BC actually in it. We also moved the rocking recliner into the room and Emily so graciously let me borrow Charlotte's changing table. We are still waiting to move Craig's desk out of the room, so the changing table is not in its final place. There is also a dresser that will go in the nursery.

My mom and I are going to look at fabric this coming weekend! Hopefully, we will find something that we like for a boy (I'm thinking either blue or green with brown) or a girl (probably pink and sage green). That way on March 16th when we find out the sex, the fabric will already be picked out and we can get it to the fabulous Mrs. Harms to start making the bedding. I can't wait to start decorating the nursery and getting it ready for the arrival of Baby Cheyne!!!!

"BC" loves Robert Earl Keen

I am 19 weeks at this point and I felt Baby Cheyne move for the first time this Friday on my way to College Station. I was driving in my car and all of a sudden it felt like a bubble popped in my belly. I instantly knew that was our little one. Then later that night after eating ice cream with The Gunnels, I felt a few more flutters.

Last night Craig and I went to the Robert Earl Keen concert at Billy Bob's. Luckily, we had reserved seating right in front about 75 feet away from REK. We got there when the concert started and instantly Baby Cheyne was just dancing and moving around. I felt lots of movement throughout the entire concert. I got the final flutter during Robert Earl's last song of the night...The Road Goes on Forever and the Party Never Ends! It was such an amazing feeling!!

16 week appointment

I had my 16 week appointment today. Everything looks and sounds really good. The heartbeat was strong and pretty fast, but Baby Cheyne's legs were crossed during the sonogram, so no sex verification yet. I was so hoping that he or she would cooperate, but not today. I have my next doctor's appointment March 4th, but my next sonogram isn't until March 16th, which is when we will find out the sex. So another 6 weeks of waiting ~ hopefully it will go fast!!! Patience is not one of my strengths!

I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Craig and I really appreciate it. We are very blessed!
