Pool time!!!

Carlee with Aunt Carole and cousin Cayden. Carlee is going to start swim lessons in a few days so we decided to go ahead and get her used to being in the water.

We bought this fancy float for her, but she didn't care for it at all.

Me and Carlee with Kyle Hix (Carole's brother-in-law). Kyle plays football for UT (#64, OT, senior). We have enjoyed watching him play and look forward to watching him in the future on Sunday and Monday nights!!!

By the end of the day, Carlee loved the pool! I'm digging the Frank Sinatra look on the hat!

Shoes!!!!

Carlee has started taking a few steps so I decided it was time to start getting her used to shoes. I was a little worried because she pulls socks off almost the mintue you put them on, but she actually kept these on.

We are slowly winging Carlee off the bottle. It has only taken buying 4 different kinds of sippy cups to finally find one that works. And the winner is...Nuby! Thanks for the recommendation Kelly! Other exciting news...Carlee took her first 2 steps on Friday and has continued taking them several times, but after 2 steps she dives into your arms. She is standing by herself for several seconds too. Her top 2 teeth are finally starting to come in with a vengeance. Poor little girl has been running fever while they are trying to push thru the gums. Her gums are so swollen and it just looks painful. She must be going through a growth spurt because the girl eats everything. I can still squeeze her into a few 3 months outfits, but not for long. This weekend I put most of her 3 month stuff in a tubberware box - it was sad - mainly because the outfits were so cute and so tiny and I'm not ready to part with them, but I need to face reality - Carlee is less than a month away from being a ONE year old!!! She continues to be such a happy little girl and she absolutely LOVES to give people hugs - including any random person that smiles at her. The girl just lights up our life. The joy and happiness she brings to our families is indescribable - she is a true blessing from God and we could not be more thankful.

Happy 11 months!!!

11 months, really? That means you will be a year old next month - where in the world has the time gone? I just can't believe it! You have made this past year absolutely amazing and wonderful - more than I could have ever imagined. We love you Miss Carlee!

Do the chicken dance! Carlee was so funny and wouldn't put both feet on the ground. She kept lifting up one leg or the other.

Too old to sit in the boppy, but not too big to crawl under it (although she did get stuck the 2nd time around).

Mom came to visit. She and Carlee had a great time hanging out. Mom picked Carlee up from daycare on Thursday and Carlee was playing on the other side of the room and as soon as she saw mom she immediately stopped what she was doing, dropped to the floor and sprint crawled over to Cici and gave her a big hug. How sweet!!!!!! She LOVES Cici!

Life is rough!

Carlee is a girl on the GO! She is walking all over the place while holding on to objects, will stand by herself for a few seconds and her 1st top tooth is starting to come in. Oh and did I mention that she doesn't think naps are necessary? Yup, she thinks napping is for the birds! I, on the other hand, disagree!!!!! I can't believe she will be 11 months old on Saturday! Our baby is turning into a big girl very quickly. I had the best Mother's Day weekend!!! It was great having my mom in town (I know Carlee loved getting special Cici time) and then Sunday we got to see Craig's mom, dad and sister. You can't beat a weekend with the families!!!!
