Carlee's new Uggs from Cici and Papa!!! They are a little big but they actually stay on fairly well. I am definitely jealous that Carlee has a pair of Uggs and I don't.

This was definitely the best Christmas so far! We had a great time with both families. What a wonderful way to end our very blessed 2009 year.

Carlee had her 6 month well baby check up on Monday!! She weighs 13.2 lbs (9th percentile), 25 inches in height (32%) and her little head is in the 1th percentile (just like her mama). Developments at this point: she is holding her own bottle, sitting up on her own and is very very close to crawling (those knees are moving in the right direction), but she hasn't put it all together just yet. She loves sitting in the seal position and has also started getting in the push up position. 2010 is definitely going to be full of fun and excitement!!!

The dog is Houdini and a glutton for anything and everything remotely edible and somethings not!!

Mother and Daughter - best friends forever!!! =) We were lucky enough to get to hang out with Kelly and Margaux twice over the holiday. Once at our house and another time in College Station. I wish we could have these playdates more often (my reason for you moving back to Texas - hint hint)!

Green Beans...Yuck!!!!

This facial expression doesn't tell the story. Carlee has been eating bananas and sweet potatoes and she has loved them so I decided to try a green veggie this time. Well it really didn't go over well. After the first couple of bites Carlee starts making gagging noises and acts like she is going to throw up. Craig and I are laughing hysterically and she is just looking at us like "you keep laughing punks, but I am the one having to eat this nasty stuff." I didn't think she had been tortured enough so I gave her a few more bites and while the green beans were still in her mouth she blows a big raspberry and green beans fly everywhere. I guess I should have stopped there, but it was so funny so I kept giving her more and she then started doing the shimmy shake (like when you taste something too sour) and then wouldn't open her mouth anymore, so I put the green beans away and went back to bananas.

" These bananas are delicious...I will even help you feed me, as long as I never have to eat green beans again!" Little Miss Independent loves grabbing the spoon and feeding herself.

Carlee has been on a babbling streak lately and is really ready to talk. Last weekend she made the "rhhhhh" sound which was the first time you could tell she was trying to say a noticeable consonant. It also sounds like she is saying "yeah", but yesterday and again today, she said "Dah!" I don't know if she is trying to say dada, but we are definitely getting close.

Happy Half Birthday Miss Carlee!!!

She has changed so much in the last 6 months (from baby girl to big girl)...

I can't believe it has been 6 months since Carlee made her grand entrance into this world. She has added more love and joy to our families lives than I could have ever imagined. It has been so much fun watching her personality develop into such a happy little girl. I just know the next 6 months are going to be so much fun as she starts to crawl and as she says her first words (I have a feeling that once the 1st word comes out, it will open the flood gates) and I pray that she knows how special she is and how blessed we are to have her in our lives. She is our perfect little angel sent from the Lord above.

Anna was teaching Carlee how to walk. She wrapped one of Carlee's little bear snuggy blankets around her waist while Carlee took a few steps. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture, but Charles (who is a commercial pilot) was teaching Carlee how to fly. Forget crawling or walking...flying is much faster!

So can you tell the Cheynes didn't get the memo about wearing red?!?!?! haha Ooppps -I guess I should have actually read the evite! It has been almost 2 years since our Sunday School class, Synergy, started and we have shared joys and sorrows, but most of all we have worshipped together and prayed for each other and lifted each other up during those times of need. What a wonderful group of friends we have been blessed with in our lives.

Happy Birthday Meme!!!

Carlee met Santa on Saturday, but they didn't allow outside cameras (this way they can charge you $30 for pictures)! Yes, $30...crazy, but the craziest part is that I actually paid it! And I have nothing to show for it (blog wise - maybe I will try to take a picture of the picture). Anyways, I guess a Baby's 1st Christmas makes you do silly things like that...Carlee is definitely worth it.

Carlee's going Bananas over Bananas!!!

Carlee had bananas for the 1st time this week (her 1st solid food experience) and she absolutely LOVED them!! After the first bite she gave me this look like this isn't cereal, but before I could even give her the 2nd bite she immediately grabbed the spoon and shoved it in her mouth and wouldn't let go!!! She kept eating and eating. She would have eatin' the entire jar if I would have let her. She's my little monkey! I also think she is going to be a gymnast, the next olympic gold medalist Carly Patterson. Carlee loves throwing her head back and going into a back bend position with her feet and head on the ground and her belly in the air. I will try and get pictures! I still remember the high risk pregnancy doctor telling me during a sonogram that she is one flexible little girl - Carlee had one foot over her head and one foot behind her butt. The girl has some serious moves.

What a Big Girl!

Chelsey, Carlee and I went to Canton on Saturday to do some Christmas shopping. We were already anticipating a big shopping spree so we put Carlee in her big girl stroller and took the other infant stroller as a shopping cart. It worked out well until we filled the stroller up within the 1st hour, so we went back to the car to unload and then started at it again. Carlee was such a trooper. Even after 5 hours of shopping, she was still full of smiles. She loves shopping already!!! Craig is in trouble!

BTW: Just for any of you wondering, that is the MacClaren stroller that was recalled, but I ordered the parts and put the hinge covers on there, so it is safe!! I didn't want anyone calling CPS on me!
